Carrot Horse Treats


When you love your horse sometimes, you've got an impulse to give. That's what one of our good friends did for her horses. She made the carrot horse treats that were stable staples and easy to make.

While supersleuthing the internet,  there were several great horsey treats that you can make at home on the KV Supply website. This carrot one really hit the spot. If you need any pet wellness products, try this company for pharmaceuticals, vaccines and other healthcare products.


What you will need...

Ingredients:


2 cups grated carrots (about 4 large carrots)

2 tbsp vegetable oil

¼ cup molasses

1 tsp salt

1 cup oats

1 cup flour

optional: ½ cup of your horse's feed or a sweet feed


What you will do...

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl mix together the carrots, oil, and molasses until combined (she used a mixer to mix everything)


Step 3

Add the salt, oats, flour, and optional feed and stir until it's combined. It will be a sticky, dough-like consistency

Form into small 1-inch size balls with your hands, or use a small metal scoop


Step 5

Place them on a parchment or sil-pat lined baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden.
